Ashvin is a Senior Consultant and heads the Operational Risk Consulting Group within Mercer's investments business, based in Dubai. Ashvin is a specialist in governance, risk management, and investment operations. Throughout his career, Ashvin has conducted a significant number of Operational Due Diligence (ODD) reviews, investment governance, operational and risk advisory projects with asset managers, asset servicers and asset owners globally.
Ashvin has over 10 years’ experience providing consulting services to major UK and European asset managers and sophisticated UK, European and Australian pension funds to assist them with building robust and resilient operating environments. Ashvin has extensive experience helping clients identify and implement best-in-class governance, risk management and control frameworks.
Ashvin has worked with leading investment organizations in the UK, Europe and Australia and has completed ODD on their external private and public market managers.
Prior to joining Mercer, Ashvin was a Senior Manager in the Asset Management Consulting practice of KPMG in London where he was responsible for managing and delivering complex engagements. Ashvin has led a number of advisory engagements, including reviews of the governance arrangements, risk management frameworks, front to back controls of leading UK and European asset managers and pension funds and assisted them with significant regulatory driven change. He has also provided advisory services to Global Custody banks and fund administrators.
During his time at KPMG, Ashvin has been seconded to a number of asset managers, including a hedge fund manager and a private equity fund manager, to assist them with improving their control environment.
Ashvin is a CFA Charterholder and also a qualified accountant (FCCA). He has also completed the Oxford Global Investment Risk Management Program.
Ashvin is fluent in English, French and Hindi.
