Mazen is a partner at Mercer based in the United Arab Emirates leading Mercer’s client management function across the Middle East working with clients in the public sector, semi-government and private sector addressing issues relating to employees’ health, wealth and career. He has deep experience and expertise in employee benefits plans including healthcare and retirement working with a variety of systems in the GCC region including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman.
Mazen began his career working for Mercer in Canada consulting to companies on their defined benefit pension plans in the areas of design, funding, administration, accounting and asset liability management. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a diploma in honors standing in Statistics and Actuarial Sciences. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and Canadian Institute of Actuaries (2008).
